Connecting Stars Emerging Artist
Nicole is completing her Master’s at the Royal College of Music. She studies saxophone under tutor Kyle Horch, gratefully supported by the Leverhulme Arts Scholarship and Help Musicians Postgraduate Award. She has also studied under Naomi Sullivan at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. While in Birmingham, she made her concerto debut with Michael Nyman's Double Concerto for Saxophone and Cello, and received the BMus Course Prize, the Saxophone Prize, and the Birmingham Chamber Music Society Prize. As a busy chamber musician, Nicole’s career highlights include a performance on BBC Radio 3, the album 'Origins' with the Yugen Saxophone Quartet, and founding of the Lucerna Saxophone Quartet. She regularly premieres new works, having collaborated with composers from the United States, Italy, and the UK. Nicole is keen to share her music in non-traditional settings too, frequently performing in care homes, schools, and early years centres.
