Jennifer Begley

Soprano

Jennifer Begley is a London based Soprano who trained at Goldsmith's College, University of London and then at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama. Since graduating Jennifer has focused her career on Operatic performance and participation within the arts.

Jennifer’s recent operatic roles include Königin der Nacht/Die Zauberflöte by Mozart (Berlin Opera Academy), Partenope/Partenope by Handel (Hampstead Garden Opera),  Papagena & First Lady/The Magic Flute by Mozart & Peep Bo/The Mikado by Gilbert & Sullivan (Charles Court Opera), Najade/Ariadne auf Naxos by R. Strauss (New Palace Opera), Adele/Die Fledermaus by J. Strauss (Fulham Opera). Jennifer has also been involved in a number of interdisciplinary performances with the Folkstone Living Advent Calendar, the Mouths of Lions, the Small Things Theatre co. and Depart Spitalfields Music.

Jennifer has worked extensively in Opera and Theatre Outreach and Education with a wide range of companies. These include the Royal Opera House, the Arcola Theatre, the Almeida Theatre, Hackney Shed and Streetwise Opera, in addition to creating original and bespoke projects for Primary Schools. Jennifer is passionate about bringing Opera and Theatre to those who may not have access to it and has been at the forefront of creating new and innovative projects aimed at children and families. Most recently leading the team who have created the new Early Years 0-5’s programme at the Royal Opera House called ‘Opera Dots’.
